Hi! I’m Amélie Hennequin
Your English-to-French ranslator & copywriter
I help lifestyle brands and marketing teams grow in France with high-impact copy that feels natural, persuasive, and strategically sound.
Every day, I get to meet cool businesses and work on copy that helps your customers fall in love with you and buy from you. That means combining copywriting, cultural insight and SEO, not just swapping words from one language to another.
Machine translation and low-cost agencies can be tempting. They promise speed and savings. But they come with two major downsides: your brand identity gets diluted, and your audience can tell straight away when the French feels off, which instantly undermines trust.
You’ve spent time refining your brand. And what I love most is helping you show it at its very best. That means taking the time to truly get to know you, fully absorb your tone of voice, and dedicate myself 100% to doing your brand justice. Because I already love it 🫶
For you, this means:
more credibility
more visibility
more sales
What I’m great at
English-to-French marketing translation - brand messaging, campaigns, ads… I love racking my brain to adapt your message in a way that respects your brand voice, stays crystal clear, and simply works in French.
English-to-French website translation - build your own corner of the French internet with copy designed for visibility, trust and conversion.
French SEO translation - blogs, e-commerce, product sheets, you name it… I write SEO-optimized content that is optimized for both humans and search engines.
French copywriting - carve out your place in the French market with messaging that blends seamlessly into the cultural landscape, while staying true to your unique voice.

I fell in love with English as a kid, thanks to my Spice Girls CD and my pocket-sized Robert & Collins dictionary. Being able to understand the lyrics all by myself was literally mind blowing 🤯
From that moment on, I was hooked, and that passion for English and translation ended up shaping my whole career.
Back in 2011, fresh out of my master’s degree in translation, I started working as an English-to-French translator, first in an e-learning company and then in a translation agency. That’s where I learned to meet the high standards of big names in tech and tourism, and to look at every project through a strategic lens. That meant adapting high-impact marketing copy, designed for an intelligent audience, tracking down every apostrophe and leaving no room for doubt.
In 2021, I went freelance as an English-to-French translator specializing in marketing content. I wanted to work more closely with the brands I truly care about: the ones that want to shake things up and aren’t afraid to speak up. Best decision of my life. Every day, I get to discover very cool products while working alongside my cats.
I also added SEO to my translation and writing skills, because I wanted to help brands sell even better. Beautiful marketing copy is great, but if no one can find it, what’s the point?
And because I wanted to write French copy from scratch, I also trained in copywriting. I quickly fell in love with the persuasion side of writing and selling, which means I’m equipped with a full set of skills to spice up your brand and make your offer truly irresistible.
On a day-to-day basis, I’m a pretty simple gal: I love rollerskating, testing my way through Lille’s pastry shops, hitting up concert venues all over town and reading four books at the same time.
What I believe in
Confidentiality
Your brand, your ideas and your processes are all valuable. If you need to, I’m happy to sign an NDA before diving into your project.
I also commit to not training AI models with your content, and to not involving any external collaborators without your approval.
Transparency
If I’m not a good fit for your project, I’ll tell you straight away. Your time and budget matter, and I want you to find the right person for the job.
As with any marketing project, I’m bound by a best-effort obligation rather than a results obligation.
What I can promise is a human, personalised collaboration designed to help you sell.
Inclusivity
Accessibility and inclusion are core to my work. I choose my words carefully to make sure everyone feels represented. That said, it’s an ever-evolving field, and staying open-minded is essential.
These values also guide the way I approach all my professional relationships.
Good vibes
The marketing world can be tough enough as it is, which is why I care about building genuine co-creation relationships with my clients.
I’m always 100% professional, but absolutely available if you ever want to talk about your cats or your latest hobby!
My happiness managers
I’m a marketing translator… and also a full-time cat mum. You might spot my cats, Guyroux and Brioche, during our video calls 🐱
They’re my unofficial advisors: always reminding me to step away from the screen to soak up a few sun rays, fiercely defending the art of the non-productive nap, and showing undeniable expertise on the keyboard.
Honestly, they’re living the dream: zero responsibilities and absolutely no idea what a KPI is!
